Experiential Visuals

Role: Creative Director

Agency: Get Batch

Client: Batch, Instagram, Founders ENT.

Exclusive Governors Ball merchandise sold through QR stage visuals. The new video technology helped festivarians purchase their favorite band tee without loosing their place in the crowd. The video activation drove audience members to scan a QR code and have merchandise sent directly home. The 3D animated loops drove traffic towards a a seamless user experience developed by Batch.

Creative Director

Worked closely with start-up Batch.com, VC advisors, Founders Entertainment, and the instagram music team to develop a series of live visuals for The Governors Ball Music Festival. Starting with several prototype animations, I collaborated with a 3D animator to execute the design of the experiential loop. While GovBall was our largest activation, we worked with several additional vendors and outdoor retail experiences to utilize the QR Merchandise technology.

The Goal:

Develop a series of loops that fit between commerce and entertainment. We wanted to provide a service that felt native to the music festival space and like an extension of the festival experience itself.

The Challenge:

Utilizing QR technology to create clear and visible targets for cameras. While using limited messaging, communicate to the audience the purpose and incite use of the new technology.

The Opportunity:

Interactive advertising, direct CTA and thousands of captivated fans wanting to deepen their experience of the festival.
